Dakini Rose Ministries, Temple, and Gardens– Executive Director and Priestess

Dakini Rose Devadasi– Visionary & Artistic Director

Monique Trinity Rose is a lifelong devoted modern temple dancer, a yogini, performance artist, Serpent Priestess, creatrix of sacred adornment, devotional vocalist, and mother, and is Director of the Dakini Rose Ministries, Temple & Gardens in Southern Oregon. Out of the temple has birthed a collaborative of temple dance priestesses, the Dakini Rose Devadasi, in which Monique serves as Artistic Director and primary Choreographer. With roots in bellydance, Odissi Classical Indian Dance, and Tantric Dance, this revolutionary company offers a kaleidoscope of authentic modern fusion temple dance skillfully merged with poetry, prayer, song, and mantra. Their performance art transmissions bridge classical music and dance forms with today’s cutting edge global consciousness and electronically produced beats.

Currently, Monique is honored to be a performance artist in her mentor’s ongoing project, Sharron Rose’s Shakti’s Bliss, and a leading actress in the upcoming conscious feature film, Shasta. For more information on these two offerings, visit www.sacredmysteries.com & www.shastamovie.com.

In her home temple Monique teaches classes and workshops in her own unique expression of yoga and sacred dance, holds rehearsals, tends the developing Permaculture gardens, and hosts various other workshops, classes, retreats, and events. She has been honored to host her other primary mentor, Ariel Spilsbury, in the DRG Temple for her 13 Moon Mystery School Immersions (www.13moonmysteryschool.org). In her home community since 2013 she has been producing and directing the ongoing visionary sacred arts offering, “Rebirth of the Devadasi”. Monique travels through the Pacific NW and beyond teaching, facilitating, and performing her heart-centric embodiment transmissions.

Monique is available for classes, workshops, retreats, invocation and ceremony, and performance transmission. Email moniquetrinityrose@gmail.com for booking, rates, and inquiries (resume available upon request). In devotion…

Extended Bio:

Monique Trinity Rose is a passionate dancer of the heart who has always found one outlet or another to express and release her inner workings through movement of the body. Her dance is both designed and improvisational, allowing her to be completely present and authentically interact with the music as it occurs in each unique moment of life. Music is a dancer’s pulse and her highest muse, and in the purest of moments, they become one. With right intention and awareness, our human dance can be ritual, mudra, meditation, and healing magic.

A lifelong devotee to dance, Monique has spent much of her life from early childhood intensively studying various dance and movement modalities. Beginning in childhood with techniques of the West such as Classical Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Tap, and Hip-Hop, and later in life exploring the East through various classical and folkloric world dances, yoga, chi-gong, and tantra. She has a BA in Theatre and Dance from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California, is a certified hatha yoga instructor through Yoga Works in Santa Monica, and has attended training retreats in Bhakti yoga/Kirtan, Vipassana Meditation, and Tantra. With an intense hunger for knowledge, Monique continues to expand her vocabulary of practices in order to best serve those around her and her own path of self-discovery. This path has led her into passionate servitude to the god-dess and tantric living, in order to restore balance above and below, within and throughout existence.

Although largely self-taught, Monique began studying bellydance after a magical turn of events brought her to class with a yoga inspired Egyptian bellydancer in Los Angeles. From there she moved to San Francisco’s Bay Area to study at Sulhaila Salimpour’s school, Fat Chance Bellydance, with Tribal Fusion pioneer Frederique, and various other instructors in the home city of American Tribal Style Bellydance. She has also been hugely inspired by her teachers and pioneers in the movement, Rachel Brice and Zoe Jakes. Monique continues to expand her knowledge of Middle Eastern and Gypsy dance history and forms, while fusing this knowledge into her own individual artistic voice and transmission. Since 2012 Monique found her way into a deep, heartfelt study and practice of the Classical Indian Dance form, Odissi, which is now being taught in their home Temple and has become a staple component to Trinity Rose Format Temple Fusion.

Monique has rooted down with her family in the progressive, conscious, and art saturated town that is Ashland/Talent, Oregon, in order to create a life authentically in tune with the natural cycles. Here she performs, teaches workshops, and offers weekly Yoga and Temple Fusion Bellydance classes. She now serves as Creator, Priestess, Executive Director, and Guardian of the Dakini Rose Ministries, Temple & Gardens, as well as being Visionary and Artistic Director of the revolutionary Modern Temple Dance company, the Dakini Rose Devadasi. Accompanied by her guides, guardians, mentors, totem animals, and serpent companions, Monique strives to integrate her passions and live a life of Truth and celebration, balancing all levels of being into full-spectrum expression and service.
